I just finished the ‘all the wrong questions’ series by Lemony Snicket. I love the quirkiness of the writing, and whilst it’s targeted at a younger demographic I enjoyed it immensely.
“The world is full of disappointment,” I said.
“Yes,” she said, “I heard him say that. And every creature is simply trying to get what it wants, and to make their way through a difficult world. Do you believe that?”
“No,” I said. “There’s more than that.”
“Like good books,” I said, “and good people. And good librarians, who are almost both at once.”
“There are times when you’re so wrong that you can’t even be right about how wrong you really are. All my wrong questions came crashing together like a derailed train.”
